The Advisory Council for Adopt a Revolution advises the project in political orientation and implementation. A majority of its members are Syrian or have tight ties with Syria, while important forces of the German civil society are also represented, which fulfills an important political goal. The members of the Advisory Council are chosen by the member assembly of the supporting organization, about:change e.V..
The central tasks of the Council are the following:
- Establishment of funding guidelines
- Selection of the networks with which Adopt a Revolution cooperates
- Consultation on projects
- Advice on the legal use of funds and financial transfers abroad
- Consultation on the political situation in Syria and Germany

- Ferhad Ahma, Former Member of the Syrian National Council and Coordinator for the Syrian-Kurdish Youth Abroad, Berlin
- Freesham,* Representative of the Activist Network Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC)
- Hozan Ibrahim, Representative of Activist Network Local Coordination Committees (LCC) of Syria
- Dr. Salam Said, former Member of the National Coordination Committee for Democratic Change (NCC), Berlin
