On 10 December, when human rights lawyer and activist Razan Zaitouneh was abducted, it was International Day of Human Rights. For that occasion she taped a speech to distribute on youtube, explaining the public the condition in the suburbs of Damascus under siege by the Assad regime.

Adopt a Revolution is intensely working with Razan since the end of 2011 as well as with the activists’ network of Local Coordination Committees (LCC), whose spokesperson Razan is. We are appalled by her abduction and demand her immediate and unconditioned release – to continue her important work against dictatorship and radical islamists.
